I planted this rose bush 2 summers ago, actually Mike did the planting, but I chose the rose. This Spring she has finally started blooming and I love her. Happy Saturday.

Family Rugby Day

Saturday was United family rugby day and I believe this is my husband's favorite day of the year. We had fun watching the boys play on the same team.

If you look closely for the man with the black scrum cap on with the ball, this is my sweetheart Mike playing rugby with United Alumni against the current A team. When Mike and I were dating I would watch him play rugby with United and I enjoy watching him now, I get a little sentemental.

This pic has all 3 of our sons playing together.

This is Mike's second favorite part of family rugby day - the Bratwurst.

Cotton in the scrum, he will be going to San Francisco this weekend to play in U.S.A. rugby tournament on the U-17 team.

We love rugby.

Flutterby Jelly Roll Quilt

Welcome to my Monday 'POST'!
I have had this Jelly Roll of Flutterby material staring at me for over a year. I love the colors in this line and I love all the bugs hidden in it. Lines are really catepillars, paisleys are snails, etc. I pieced this on Saturday night and quilted it on Memorial day and now jus the binding is left. Have a great Monday.

Cottage Garden

Tonight my sis and I did a little on-line shopping while talking long distance and we found this adorable applique quilt by Lori Holt. This cute pic was Easter Sunday, 2009. Mike is a father of 3 young men and they think the world of him. Mike will always be one of the boys.

Here is the man fishing in the Uinta mountains last summer, Mike loves the mountains, they are his second home.

I love this picture of my sweetie Mike. This was taken last June after Mike had finished The Squaw Peak 50 mile endurance run. What a great guy I am married to. He has taken such good care of me and our children. I love you Mike.

This sweet turtle was a Mother's day present from my husband and 3 sons and I think he is the best turtle a woman could ask for. Thank you Mike, Cotton, Tristan and Justus I love you.

Today I had an encouraging bowel movement after going without one for 6 days due to having my uterus (should she be capitalized?)Uterus ground up into small pieces and removed via 4 slits in my tummy followed by the immidiate removal of 2 very appreciated and well used ovaries last Thursday. To reward myself for a job well done I asked my mom to take me to get a pedicure and that is exactly what we did. I enjoyed spending time with my mom and the customer service was scentsational, the only thing missing was Loretta. As you can tell from the title of this post the pain meds are still in the system.

Whole Wheat Pancakes

6 cups wheat flour
3 cups white flour
1 T. salt
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup Baking powder
1/2 cup wheat germ
Mix and store above ingredients

Whole Wheat Pancakes
2 1/4 cups whole wheat pancake mix
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs separated
Add above ingredients and mix well including egg yolks. In a separate bowl whisk egg whites until white and frothy. Fold whites into pancake mix and proceed to make your yummy pancakes.

Today I went to see Dr. Melendez for my pre-op visit. He sent me home with a prescription and I took it to Cecil's Pharmacy and put the rx on the counter, greeted the pharmacist and said: "I would like one large bowel prep kit please", to which he smiled and said he could oblige me with that. Does anybody care to join me tomorrow for bowel cleaning after 5:00p.m.? (While supplies last).
