I beg your pardon

My parents are in the process of moving from the home they have lived in since 1978. This has been a huge project.
Today Justus and I went to help my parents move boxes from their old home to their new home. After loading the trailer my mom suggested that I cut some roses to take home and enjoy. I noticed right away that I was humming a song to myself and totally loving the opportunity of gathering these beautiful blooms. My dad was given a Veteran's rose bush when his father passed away, I cut the last bloom from this bush, closed my eyes, and smelled the red rose. Tears immediately came to my eyes because I have such sweet memories of my 'Papa'.
Sing along with me! " I BEG YOUR PARDON, I NEVER PROMISED YOU A ROSE GARDEN. ALONG WITH THE SUNSHINE, THERE'S GOTTA BE A LITTLE RAIN SOMETIMES." Lynn Anderson knew exactly what she was talking about.

That was really sweet. I probably would have dug them all up and taken them with me! I'll be sad every time I pass by your parents house now. End of an era!
